Mango and Pauline's French Blue House with Nice Fenced Yard
Hi Everybody! I'm French and I lived in Chicago Suburbs. I brought my dog Mango from France too so he is kind of bilingual ;). I used to travel with him all over Europe but it's not as simple here because of longer drives, so I will be looking for dog-lover to take care of my big baby.
Our Home & Location
My house is in a residential suburbs of Chicago. It's a two and half bedrooms, one bathroom. We have a fenced yard which make the life easier for Mango too. I have a garage that you would be able to use if needed.
The neighborhood is safe but it will make your life easier to have a car (I have a company car that I have to leave at work when I'm out of town). Grocery shops are really close and you have access to high way or METRA (public transportation) within few miles....
Feel free to ask more about the house or neighborhood. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
As I want everybody to enjoy their stay and Chicago area, I would not ask you to spend all day long at my house with Mango. He needs a long walk (30-40min) in the morning and at night. He barks only when he sees another dog while he is leashed, he really wants to play with them... So you can also play with him in the yard instead. He can stay up to 8-9 hours alone, as he is used to while I'm working but the more he sees you the happier he is.
I also have a pass to go to dog parks in the county next to the one I'm living in. It's between 15 and 45 min driving depending on which dog park and traffic, so if you feel like going out with him it would not be a problem.
Mango is still a puppy so sometimes when he gets bored he might play with what he is not supposed to, so now I recommended to leave our personal stuff in a closed room (bedroom, bathroom,...)
The other thing I would appreciate is taking care of the mail and bring it inside....
Mango is a super dog, don't be stopped by his 90 lbs and his french accent ;) + More info
