Spacious home in quintessential college town with adorable cat and ten hens.
Susan and Christopher are empty-nesters, she a retired chaplain and he a former dean of music at University of Michigan. We travel frequently for musical activities and family visits. We like to have people in our home while we're away to give attention to our beloved cat and to our bevy of hens.
Our Home & Location
Spacious, comfortable 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath home on 2.3 acres of park-like land with a pond and towering trees, ten minutes from downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan, and thirty minutes from the Detroit airport. Ann Arbor offers all the attractions of a thriving college town (University of Michigan) with innumerable activities (performances, lectures, athletics, etc) and amenities, good restaurants, museums and parks with hiking, kayaking and biking.
Responsibilities & Pets
The house sitter(s) will need to feed, brush, and play with Graycie and empty her litter box. The hens require daily egg-collecting, and occasional watering and feeding. The local bird population appreciates seed in their feeders, and are observable from the solarium as you sip your morning coffee and read the NY Times (delivered daily). In addition to house-sitters generally caring for the house, the indoor plants need watering, there is daily mail to be collected and weekly trash/recycle pick-up. Must be non-smokers.
