Contemporary Design with Big Views 5 minutes to downtown Santa Fe, NM.
We are both fun loving, easy going, animal loving, travel enthusiasts. We have no children, we enjoying silence over noise and are very respectful of others home and property. My husband, Babak, is a professional photographer and owns his own company (www.insightfoto.com). He's of Persian heritage, schooled in England, lived in Spain and Germany and now has lived in the U.S. for the past 20 years. He is fluent in English, Farsi, German and we both speak basic Spanish. We've both traveled extensively (especially him) throughout the world, and we have had the good fortune to have visited over 70+ countries. I am a former photojournalist, currently a real estate agent, and I also host an inspirational podcast (www.theinspirecafe.com). We're now embarking on being semi-retired and plan to travel even more extensively and love the concept and idea of Trusted House Sitters. We have two older indoor lady cats. They sleep and snuggle a lot.
Our Home & Location
Our home was designed by us to take advantage of the views with the large picture windows that we installed facing south and east. It is single-level, contemporary and has all the amenities required, including AC and power blinds. The flooring is natural white washed oak and the rooms are spacious including a king size bed. We have 42 inch TV's in both the bedroom and the living-room with cable access. The house is set for 5G WiFi. We have work spaces and a printer if you need to do some work for those of us who are digital nomads. The gas fireplace is amazing for those romantic winter evenings. There are surroundings trees, which add to privacy. This is a non-smoking home.
We are on the north-side of town giving easy access to Taos or a 2 hour ride to Colorado. We are 5 minutes from the Santa Fe Opera and 5 minutes from the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum and the downtown area. Our neighborhood is a very desired residential area on the North-side of Santa Fe. Its on a ridge-top and has terrific views of the surrounding mountains and the city. It is very quiet and perfect for the romantic couple. There are hiking and cycling trails around. We are also only 35 minutes from the Santa Fe Ski Basin....
Santa Fe, New Mexico is known for it's culture, art, food, nature, skiing, and native american arts & culture. We are in the high desert (about 7,000 ft elevation), and the blue skies and air are beautiful. Santa Fe averages about 300 sunny days per year. There's a little something for everyone--from hiking and skiing to the opera, art galleries and shopping. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
We have two indoor cats. They are 13 years old and super easy to be with . Very mellow and love to cuddle and sleep a lot. Keep the water bowls full with fresh water everyday. Keep the cookie bowl full. They do NOT eat wet food and they self regulate what they eat and when they eat. Cleaning of the little box is essential on a daily basis, more so as they are indoor cats.
