West Village living with Tootie & Sterling
My boyfriend and I are ad execs and travel for work. Sometimes we're both away so Tootie and Sterling need a friend to hang out with them and feed them each morning and evening. Tootie is a sweet old cat although quite bossy when meal time approaches! Sterling is our three-year-old pit rescue—a cowardly lion with a big heart. He is gentle but takes time to warm up.
Our Home & Location
The West Village is one of NYC's loveliest and most iconic neighborhoods. Tree-lined streets, world-class restaurants for every budget, legendary bars and Hudson River Park (including summer biergarten). Close to subway, walkable to Meatpacking district and the Highline.
The 2BR/1BA apartment is sunny and generally quiet. It's on the top floor of a six-story walk-up so you need to be OK with stairs. One BR has a queen-size bed. There is a queen-size air mattress and extra linens if you want to use the 2nd BR as a bedroom (I use it as a dressing room). AC and dishwasher. No TV, but you're not in NYC to watch TV! Laundry facility on site.
Responsibilities & Pets
The cat and dog both eat in the morning and evening (note they are both on a raw diet so if you have issues with raw meat this is probably not the house for you). The cat also gets a few drops of chicken-flavored thyroid medicine added to her food. The dog gets a couple squirts of salmon oil on his. Fresh water with each meal, a few walks (or runs!) with the dog and daily litter box scooping.
