Relax in a beautiful, rustic log home while looking after our pets
My husband and I live in a log home, which we built in 2002, on ~ 2 acres of a wooded property. The dogs have the run of the fenced-in backyard (~ 1 acre), and can access it with a radio collar which opens an electric dog door.
My husband still works PT, I retired 3 years ago - he's a physician, I'm a midwife, originally from Switzerland. Our children live in Denmark, Seattle and Rochester NY, which means we travel frequently for 4 - 6 days to visit them. Thus the need for a trusted house sitter.
Our Home & Location
Our log house is cozy, has a huge wood burning fireplace in the middle of the living area: a great room which includes living room/kitchen/breakfast bar/ dining area/ music corner, and is open to the loft, where the TV is located.
Our driveway is steep, and in the winter - if there's snow - would need a 4WD vehicle to make it to the top....
There are 2 bedrooms/1 bath on the top floor; master bedroom/bathroom on the main floor.
The walk-out lower floor has an indoor exercise pool/eliptical bike/sauna, shower, half bath.
The heat throughout the house is in the floor. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
My dogs are both rescue animals, and need some time to trust a new person. They love their walks. Maggie eats everything, including paper left lying around and wood.
Casey is a very finicky eater, needs to be coaxed to eat by adding people food. She prefers fish, italian dishes, meat gravy, cheese :)...
Eden, the cat is always starving for food and love. She loves to go outside, sometimes all night, but asks to come in frequently.
Responsibilities would include daily walks, and feeding the dogs twice/day.
Eden, the cat, gets fed whenever she's asking for it. Her litter box needs scooping 2 - 3x/week. + More info
