Rustic charming mini farm Blue Ridge Mountains
I am a self-employed artist, and I frequently travel for my work. On one hand, I like my life-style, but on the other, it's difficult. I really don't like leaving my little girls behind. A dear friend keeps them often, but is also a traveler, so I look for house sitters to care for my little dears. Both of my pets are rescue animals. My dog, Chica, is an initially shy, sweet-heart of a 30 LB dog. My cat, Isabel, is an amazingly spry, 14 year old cuddly fluff-ball of a cat.
Our Home & Location
My home is a charming rustic mini-farm on the edge of Black Mountain. Black Mountain is a quaint lovely small town in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and about 20 minutes from Asheville. Spectacular nature, great food scene, great art scene.
Responsibilities & Pets
My dog, Chica, needs to be walked twice a day (ideally, but at least one good one). I have a large fenced-in yard, so she can be outside a good part of the day if the weather isn't severe. My cat goes in and out. Both pets are fed twice a day.
I primarily heat my house with a wood stove, so I need a sitter who is comfortable with building fires when heat is needed. I have a great wood supply, and my house is very cozy warm with the stove....
Other responsibilities are to water my house plants once a week and take the trash out to the road once a week. During much of the year there may be a need for watering in my garden. + More info
