Cozy home near downtown with affectionate indoor cat
My 17-year-old cat, Trudy, needs a pet sitter to stay with her while I'm out of town. Trudy is pretty low maintenance—besides feeding her twice a day and scooping her litter box, she just needs someone to "chat" with her (she is very talkative) and give her affection. She's indoor-only and is fine on her own, so you'll have plenty of time for sightseeing, hiking, or visiting one of Asheville's many excellent craft breweries. I'm looking for a single person or couple to stay with her—non-smokers preferred.
Our Home & Location
My cozy little house is walking distance to UNCA, the botanical gardens, and the greenway, plus it's an easy 5-minute drive to downtown Asheville. It's in a quiet residential neighborhood, surrounded by mature pine trees, with central AC, a fully equipped kitchen, and a washer and dryer. There's also a home office if you need to work remotely during your stay. The sitter(s) will stay in the guest bedroom, which has a full-size bed.
There is a bus stop at the end of the street if you're going car-free.
Responsibilities & Pets
Feed Trudy twice a day (am/pm) on a regular schedule. Freshen her water and scoop her litter box once a day. Give her a hairball treatment once a week (it's a gel that you put on her front leg). Listen to her life story and cuddle with her when she wants (demands) it. Otherwise she is fine on her own and you will have plenty of time to explore Asheville.
