Six weeks in beautiful Asheville, NC - two cats, one dog
Hello everyone! My name is Brendan. I am a 44 year old, self-employed, single, fairly recent empty-nester who travels frequently for both work and adventure. I have two cats and a dog. I am leaving for Europe on August 16, and return on October 1 (although this return date is a little flexible if these exact dates don't line up for the right person). I am looking for someone who would love to visit our beautiful area and give a little love and affection to my sweet animals.
Our Home & Location
I live in the amazingly beautiful Western North Carolina - home of the highest concentration of waterfalls in the U.S.! My modest 4BR/3BA house backs up to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Mountains-to-Sea Trail and is 10 minutes to downtown Asheville by car. Public transit is a ten-minute walk, and a 20 minute ride to downtown. Grocery store is less than 10 minutes. My house has AC and a nice large back deck for grilling and evening relaxing. Did I mention that late September is nearly the famous peak 'leaf season' here?
Responsibilities & Pets
Ginger is a bit of a free spirit and loves to be outdoors lecturing the local wildlife and running (if she can get out of her fenced backyard). She's 13 though, and while that hasn't dampened her spirits she does need to be let in/out late/early to avoid accidents. She is happy being outside for the day in the shaded yard if the weather is nice. She's a very sweet dog and loves walks and hikes. Low Kitty is elusive at first, but eventually warms up to people and is very affectionate. Pip/Snoop Catt/Fake Low Kitty (because he answers to Low Kitty) is a little more gregarious once he gets to know you. While healthy, he is FLV-positive so if you're considering bringing your own cat, they need to have been vaccinated (of course its benign to humans). Both love to play with laser lights and belly rubs. All three get along well.
