Snugly pets looking for love in Portland's Alberta Arts District
My boyfriend and I are starting to plan a 4-day trip in April for my birthday. It will be the first time that we will be leaving the puppies (Jasper and Sinka). We are looking for the right sitter who has the energy for the two 7-month-old huskies as well as the grumpy cat. Our old dog, Zoey, might stay with a friend so as to simplify the sitting at our house. Jasper and Sinka need someone who is ready to take them on runs or hikes once or twice a day and will keep a close eye on them when around the house. They are still puppies and can make a mess quickly. The cat is his own challenge as he is pretty protective of the home and has a history of attacking people that he doesn't know. A sitter would have to not be too shaken by a scratch.
Our Home & Location
Our house is a comfortable detached 2 bedroom, 1 bath, plus an office a couple of blocks from NE Alberta Street. Alberta is one of the great Portland neighborhood streets full of local restaurants, shops, galleries, and bars. There is a lot of really good food just a few minutes walk from our house. We have a fenced backyard for the dogs to run around a little and go potty and a catio for Bo Junior to get a little air while still being safe and secure.
Responsibilities & Pets
Feeding the pets 2x/day.
Taking the dogs for at least one exercise event per day. The puppies need at least an hour each day plus play time in the yard. A run or hike is the best - something that gets them panting and tired. They can't be off-leash in unsecured areas, so it can be hard to tire them out sometimes....
The pups can be left for up to 4 hours secured in their crate.
Cleaning the litter box 1x/day.
A lot of petting :-)
Playing with the cat - he loves to play fetch. + More info
