Spring break in beautiful Vermont
We live in a comfortable 3 bedroom Cape Cod style home in a small rural town near Middlebury, VT. We have over 11 acres of land, beautiful mountain views and are surrounded by forest. Tracey and Jay Harrington work for the area school district while Baxter and Mary are full time students. Our beloved golden doodle, Finch, is four years old and full of playful energy. He runs, hikes and walks the dirt roads and trails each morning and afternoon. He loves to be around people and is as soft and sweet as a teddy bear. We are a family that loves the outdoors, plays a variety of instruments and prefers games and books to computers or TV (we don't have one). Our home is a quiet oasis from the busy and fast paced world out there. We know you will love staying here because we sure do!
Our Home & Location
Our home is about three miles from the nearest paved road up in the Green Mountains. We are twenty minutes from the beautiful college town of Middlebury, VT --home to Middlebury College. Middlebury has many nice shops, restaurants and great grocery stores, including a large natural foods co-op. Burlington, Vermont's largest city, is about an hour away. There are a number of lakes, rivers and state parks nearby. There is no public transportation to our house so a car will be necessary for getting around.
Responsibilities & Pets
Our dog, Finch, will need to be walked and fed at least twice a day. He loves to be with people, so often goes along for rides in the car and on outdoor adventures. He wears an electric collar that has a remote, and rarely wears a leash. He responds to many commands and when doing so, is rewarded with treats.
