Enjoy DC sites while caring for my sweet cocker spaniel
I have lived in the DC area since 2001. I travel frequently for work and pleasure and as my dog prefers being in his home rather than at a dog sitter's, I am looking for a responsible dog sitter to care for my pup in my home while I'm away. Ideally, I would prefer to do a meet and greet before my departure date so you can meet Charly and go over any questions you may have.
Our Home & Location
I live in Alexandria, VA which is 5 miles away from DC. I live in a historic community, Parkfairfax,
with plenty of charm and 132 landscaped and wooded acres - perfect for dog walks! This is a dog friendly neighborhood. This is a great place to stay when visiting the nation's capital as there's easy access to I-395 and Reagan National airport. My neighborhood is very close to Old Town Alexandria, Del Ray, and Shirlington Village where you will find many restaurants/bars/coffee shops....
My home is a 1 bedroom condo with a queen bed, so my place is ideal for a couple or a single person. Both my kitchen and bathroom have been recently updated. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances. I have a keurig coffee machine and all the cooking utensils you may need. Plenty of street parking.
You will be very comfortable in my home. I love my home and I ask that you please leave it in the same manner as you found it.
GETTING AROUND Located adjacent to I-395. The Dash bus stop (Alexandria bus line) is just steps from the front door. The Dash bus will take you to the Pentagon metro stop (AT4 - Northbound) or the Braddock Street metro stop (AT4 -Southbound). From these metro stops you can access the Yellow/Blue metro lines which will take you into DC. You can also take Uber to Pentagon City metro stop to access the subway. Uber into DC is also quick and fairly inexpensive depending on the time of day. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Charly is a happy, people-loving dog. Although he is a senior pup, he is still very active and enjoys long walks in this beautiful neighborhood. He can be left alone for up to 6 hours at a time. He can be very mellow or he can be anxious at times. He's easy to care for, takes frequent naps and loves to snuggle.
