It's hot, it's humid - but the museums are free and there's so much to do! Stay in my Cozy Studio with 2 Black Cats, Balcony Overlooks Rock Creek Park, Near 2 Metro Stops, Buses, and Shops
Hi! I'm Rebecca and I live in beautiful North West Washington, D.C. I'm a teacher with a serious case of wanderlust, so I travel during the holidays and whenever I can. This year I've been to Madrid, Budapest, Paris, Denver, Portland, Arizona, and the beaches in Delaware. I have 2 black cats who are 13 years old and hate to be left alone. My home is between 2 Metro stops (about a 1/2 mile to either one) and the bus stops right out front. Washington, DC is a wonderful place to visit - most of the museums and monuments are free and in March the Cherry Blossom festival happens! http://www.nationalcherryblossomfestival.org/2018-signature-event-dates
Our Home & Location
I live in a 650 square foot studio that has a 9th floor balcony with a view of Rock Creek Park. It feels large enough for me and can accommodate 2 people. I have a full galley kitchen, Full bath, TV (No cable, but digital antennae and WiFi). My home is between 2 Metro stops (about a 1/2 mile to either one) and the bus stops right out front. Washington, DC is a wonderful place to visit - most of the museums and monuments are free - and it is really easy to get to them from my home. The building is equipped with an indoor pool and gym. Additionally, there are 2 outdoor tennis courts and a concierge at the entrance. The neighborhood is very walk-able and there is a wonderful bookstore a couple of blocks away that hosts author talks almost every night.
Responsibilities & Pets
I need someone mature who will enjoy Washington, DC during the day and then feed, pet the cats (they hate to be picked up but will gladly sit on an available lap), scoop the litter box daily, and in general keep the place clean. My fur babies are pretty low maintenance.
