Washington DC, popular & convenient location, in beautiful historic building
I’m... what? 57 going on 19 or 91 depending on the moment. Need, not want NEED, to travel but I worry about my kitty Lucy being left alone. I hope TrustedHousesitters will ease my concerns and keep my critter happy while I’m away. ☮️
Our Home & Location
My small studio apartment is in a gorgeous 1905 Beaux Arts building which is nestled into a quite spot in the bustling, popular Adams Morgan neighborhood. Adams Morgan and the other surrounding neighborhoods have everything you may need and more, all within easy walking distance, with basic to eclectic/unique shopping, restaurants (with cuisines from around the world), clubs and music venues for any tastes. In other words, it’s not boring around here.
This is a very convenient location! For the average person it’s about a 15 minute walk to 2 metro train stations and 5 minutes to a local bus stop with frequent service. Metro is accessible to all regional transportation services including Amtrak, MARC (MD light rail) and the VRE (VA light rail) and the regional bus companies (Greyhound, Bolt and many more). Most of DC’s major attractions are walkable in 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, including The National Mall. It’s 4 miles to Union Station, 8 miles to National Airport, 30 miles to Dulles International Airport and 36 to Baltimore International Airport....
This is just a brief intro. I will update with more details. But, google DC and anything you want and you’re likely to find it here. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
My 16 year old kitty, Lucy, is very low maintenance. She has canned wet food for dinner at 9:00 pm (or later) and dry food in her dish for the rest of the day. (Sometimes I have a few plants that will need to be watered.) Lucy may be left alone for a 24-36 hour period, if your stay is at least 5 days, allowing you the opportunity to take a day trip to one of the many great places not far from DC (Including NYC, where I’ll go up and back the same day via train or dirt cheap bus. This is a quick draft. I will provide more details soon. But, ya know, she’s an indoor cat. Pretty easy.
