Catsitter needed over New Years in apartment near Georgetown!
Hi there! My boyfriend (Haris) and I will be traveling to see our families over New Years, and we need to find a cat lover to come and keep Robin company for the week while we're gone! We are relatively new to DC (we are both Masters students at DC schools and just started this fall), and brand new to finding cat sitters outside our friends/family! Robin has had a few catsitters previously, and she has done very well each time. Robin is our best friend, and we can't wait to find someone to take great care of her!
Our Home & Location
You will be staying in a charming one-bedroom apartment in the Glover Park neighborhood of Washington, DC. The apartment building has a laundry room in the basement that you are free to use, and the apartment itself is on the second floor (up 1 1/2 flights of stairs), has a spacious living room, big windows, a bathtub/shower, and a kitchen equipped with anything you might need (including a dishwasher). There is a very comfortable queen sized mattress in the bedroom, and one of the couches in the living room is a futon that can be converted to a full-size bed. It's a quiet, residential neighborhood that is very close (about a 25 minute walk/5 minute cab ride) to Georgetown. Local buses or Uber/Lyft can take you to all the DC sites relatively quickly. There are some nice parks and restaurants nearby our place, too! Parking is very limited in the area, so please keep this in mind. However, we do not own a car and can easily get anywhere we need to!
Responsibilities & Pets
Robin is a young, energetic cat who is fairly low-maintenance. Your main responsibilities regarding her will be: feeding her twice a day, morning and evening; scooping her litter at least once but preferably twice a day; ensuring that her water fountain has enough water in it; and playing with her at least once a day. She loves to be around people and is very friendly, but she prefers to not be picked up or cuddled. We may ask that you pick up mail for us, but other than that, your only responsibility is taking care of Robin!
