Adorable, friendly Persian cat and Cozy Condo in the heart of DC!
I am a kind, caring, gentle, quiet woman. I live with my cat, Mendel, in an apartment that is located in the lively Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, DC. The building is walking distance to restaurants, shops, bars, art museums, the National Zoo, beautiful homes, etc. It is only 3 blocks (a short walk) to the red line metro. There are bus stops only one block away. I am a teacher of young children and have the summer off. I will be traveling to Australia and New Zealand with my girlfriend during the month of July and would love for a single person to occupy my home and keep my darling cat company while I'm away.
Our Home & Location
The building in which we live is called, The Cairo. You can google it to learn more. It is the tallest residential building in Washington, DC and has a roof deck from which there is a gorgeous 360-degree view of DC. The apartment has air conditioning, HDTV, modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances, BOSE stereo, internet, wood floors, comfortable leather couch, Tempurpedic mattress... all the things needed to help you feel comfortable and at home while you're here!
Responsibilities & Pets
Mendel is rather low maintenance. He likes company. You will be expected to top up his water vase every morning and evening, feed one small can of wet food every evening and a scoop of dry food every morning. You will scoop his clumping litter into a trash bag and drop it down the trash chute in the hallway. I use disposable litter boxes so you can throw the entire box away when it gets smelly and pour fresh litter into a new one. Mendel provides excellent company. He is comical and friendly. And he has never met a person he doesn't like.
