Solo cat needs a companion
We are leaving our sweet seven-year old orange cat, Carla, for several weeks over the holidays, and she asked that we find someone who loves felines to keep her company. She says it is fine for you to leave during the day and part of the evening, but she'd like a pet or two between those times and might even share the bed with you if she gets very lonely.
Our Home & Location
We live in Fort Totten in northeast DC. Our apartment is a spacious one bedroom + den (although the latter is serving as a nursery for our infant son) and has two large balconies where we can watch the sun set. Our apartment building is brand new and located directly above a Super Walmart and neighborhood coffee house. We are a 12-minute walk to the Fort Totten metro, which services three metro lines: red, green, and yellow. If you bring a car there is also free ample street parking outside of our apartment.
Please respond with whom you would be coming with (if applicable), when you think you would arrive and leave, and what type of vacation this is for you. Please have references available. In order to hand over the keys, we would ideally like someone arriving the morning of December 13th, but we could also work out leaving the keys with the concierge. Thanks!
Responsibilities & Pets
Carla is a sweet, affectionate kitty who loves to snuggle in our king size bed at night and nap in sunbeams during the day. She uses an automatic feeder in the mornings for breakfast and needs to be fed wet food in the evenings for dinner. Her litter box should be cleaned daily, and she will need her bowl of water refilled. She would love nothing more than to snuggle up with a warm lap while you watch movies on the couch.
We have several plants that would need to be watered every couple of days and our mail collected....
To note: we have a baby and require a housecarer who is a non-smoker. + More info
