Two mutts, great company
We are empty nesters, living in Port Angeles, WA. Today our "kids" are of the 4 legged variety, and are spoiled rotten. They consider themselves lap dogs, always wanting to be near us. Although both are large dogs, they are very friendly. Kimo will greet you by inserting himself between your legs so you have to pet him. And Machete will sit beside you on the sofa, leaning in-cheek to cheek- for snuggles! I work from home so they are accustom to having company all the time. We are looking for a better alternative to a kennel when we travel.
Our Home & Location
The Olympic Peninsula/Olympic National Park has something for everyone. The Olympic Mountains are almost 8000 ft., but they rise almost from the water's edge. Hurricane Ridge is only 17 miles south of Port Angeles, offers ridgetop traverses and steep trails that descent to subalpine lakes and valleys. Old growth forests, waterfalls, rivers and streams full of salmon. Sol Duc Hot Springs, Hoh Rain Forest are fun to explore. Kayak rental, boat/marina, fishing available. Come early and enjoy the Dungeness Crab Festival Oct. 5-7, with great food/drinks, arts and crafts all weekend. Our home is situated on 3 acres on the Olympic peninsula with a view of the mountains. Three bdrm/2 bath, with outside decks on 2 sides. The Discovery trail runs in front of our property, great for walking the dogs.
Responsibilities & Pets
Basic care of our very friendly dogs. As a senior, Kimo needs a potty break most nights, but otherwise just feed and love them. We have a fully fenced yard, and a dog run for extended time away from home. No yardwork this time of year, but plenty of flowerbeds/veggie garden to putter in.
