Explore Seattle while staying in a beautiful, modern home with a sweet lab!
My husband and I are young professionals in our mid 30's who moved to Seattle from New York City a year ago. We love Seattle and also love to travel outside the US, so for those times our young pup must stay behind....
We recently adopted a lab mix puppy. She is sweet, curious, agile, and friendly. Since we just adopted her, we are working on training skills 101 and she's a quick learner but isn't a pro just yet! We want the person who house sits to reinforce her training/good behavior! + More info
Our Home & Location
We lived in a 3 bedroom modern home, in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, where restaurants, bars, and parks are only a 5 minute walk away. The Downtown and many lakes are also within walking distance, so you can walk down to Pike Place Market to eat some fresh king salmon or go kayaking on Lake Union all within a 20 minute walk! This is a walkers paradise. If walking isn't for you, most neighborhoods are a 10 minute uber ride away! We have a guest bedroom with it's own bathroom on a separate floor for house sitters, so you have privacy and your own space. If you like the outdoors, hang out on our hammock on our roof or go hiking around Seattle, there is tons to explore around here so ask away if you need recommendations for anything!
Responsibilities & Pets
Our puppy needs to be fed, walked and given some love/attention!
She eats 2 times a day, typically walks 3 times a day for 30 mins, and needs some human interaction to keep her mind motivated - and stop her from getting bored and becoming an unruly pup!...
Some of the training we have done with her that we would like followed please:
- She doesn't go on furniture, guest/master bedroom, or the kitchen.
- No jumping on guest/strangers.
- She needs to sit/wait before going outside the house and eating her food, and coming back inside the house.
- She should always walk on your left side.
- Can't go off leash or to the dog park.
- She knows these commands, so practice for treats is encouraged: heel, sit, down, stay, shake, high 5.
Important: She is excitable around other dogs and cannot handle being off leash with many dogs just yet. So no dog park for now. While walking, we encourage her to be calm around other dogs and not bark/jump by giving her a treat. + More info
