My husband and I are retired and like to travel. When we use our RV to camp we can take our dog, Lucky but when we can't it would be nice to have someone here at the house to take care of him and 'his' cats!
Our Home & Location
We live in the foothills of Mt. Spokane in Spokane, Washington. Our home sits on 10 acres with some great neighbors near by. The views are wonderful looking southwest. We have a day light basement with a very comfortable guest room. Wi-Fi is good and fast. When cold outside, but with sunshine, the sunroom is heaven for taking naps! Downtown Spokane is approx. 14 miles away. Grocery shopping 5-10 miles away. Mt. Spokane a 25 minute drive. We have some local hiking trails from the house. The Centennial Trail which follows the Spokane River from Downtown to Coeur d' Alene is approx. a 9 mile drive from here and has a lovely paved trail to walk or ride a bike on. Many lakes are under an hour drive.
Responsibilities & Pets
Lucky and his cats need to be fed twice a day - morning and evening. Lucky needs someone who will throw a ball for him, give him hugs and take him for walks. Lucky is a black lab, greyhound mix. (It takes him a few minutes to warm up to a man. We adopted him at 18 months and it seems a man was not nice to him. He is 11 years old.) One cat, Ghosty likes his tummy rubbed and is friendly once he gets to know a new person. Calmer is half wild and will keep his distance but if someone is able to catch him he will not scratch or bite.
