House/Pet-Sitting for an active lovable dog in a quiet neighborhood about 15 minutes outside of Portland, OR
My husband and I are both engineers that enjoy traveling and have jobs that require some travel throughout the year. I have a 4 year old mix-breed (blue heeler/lab mix most likely) named Pepper that is super sweet and energetic. She loves cuddles and walks. My house is low maintenance, no plants to water or things like that. I'd just love to have someone there when I travel to watch my house and Pepper so that she doesn't always have to go to the dog sitter.
Our Home & Location
The house is in a quiet neighborhood but near a lot of different things. It's only 15 minutes from the Portland, OR airport and 20 minutes from downtown Portland. It's also nearby great hiking spots all around. Hikes in the Columbia River Gorge as well as Mt. St. Helens are also a short drive away. There are grocery stores within a 5 minute drive of the house. It's a nice getaway for a quiet, nice place to stay but close to urban areas and hiking opportunities.
Responsibilities & Pets
House sitters will not be required to maintain any of the outside landscaping or yard. The responsibilities will mainly be for Pepper: feeding, letting her out to the bathroom, and taking her on the occasional walk. Pepper is pretty low maintenance but loves any extra attention. I generally work 8 am - 5 pm during the day so she is used to being alone during the day and then we hang out and take walks each night. The only house maintenance is just making sure it remains clean, mainly just picking up after yourself.
