Madison, WI "sweet spot"
We are retired with one older dog. We love to travel and are often gone for 2-4 weeks at a time. Our dog, Tucker, is well loved and happiest when home. When we can't find a pet sitter to stay in our home with him, we kennel him where they give him lots of love (but it's not the same as him being home).
Our Home & Location
We live in a neighborhood that is known as a "sweet spot" in Madison -- close to the University, Trader Joe's, restaurants, boutique shops, library, parks, lakes, downtown Madison. In the winter, cross country ski trails and walking trails are just minutes away. In the summer, the Southwest bike path is right behind us and connects to the many trails in Dane County and beyond.
Responsibilities & Pets
In the summer, our gardens (flower and vegetable) and flower boxes need care and attention -- watering and weeding. (We have gardens in both the front and back of our home.) In the winter, the sidewalk needs to be shoveled when it snows. Once a week the trash gets collected and every other week recyclables are collected. Our dog, Tucker, is fed twice a day and walked twice a day.
