Brighton, UK, 16 September 2026: TrustedHousesitters, the world's largest home and pet sitting community, today announced the appointment of Drew Wrangles as Board Advisor, supporting the Chair, investors and executive team on the company's growth agenda.
Wrangles joins as TrustedHousesitters prepares for its next phase of growth across its markets, with the US a priority alongside its established base in the UK and other regions. He is currently Chief Product Officer at Taskrabbit, a role he has held since December 2023, leading product management, design, data science and machine learning. Before that, he was Head of Product at Drizly from 2019 to 2022, during which the company was acquired by Uber for $1.1bn. He spent the preceding 11 years at TripAdvisor in a series of product and globalisation roles, including growing the platform's position in the LATAM, APAC & EMEA regions. Earlier in his career, he worked in product and analytics roles at Zopa as one of the founding team members of the world's first peer-to-peer lending marketplace.
His appointment builds on the way TrustedHousesitters has grown to date and reinforces that strategy. The company has created a global membership community of more than 280,000 members across over 100 countries, with a new sit starting somewhere in the world roughly every two minutes. That scale has been driven in large part by member advocacy: high member retention and a community that already recommends organically.
For members, that means getting value to them faster: smoother onboarding, product features that make trust and community more visible, and more opportunities for sharing a good experience with others.
"Drew has spent his career building the kind of trust and network effects that make marketplaces work, including in the US," said Mathew Prior, CEO of TrustedHousesitters. "The way our members experience TrustedHousesitters has always driven everything we do, and as we continue to scale across all our markets, he builds on the strength already present on our board and in our leadership team. His perspective complements the work our team is already doing, helping us accelerate the building out of new features that delight our members and grow something they already do naturally: recommending us to people they trust."
"TrustedHousesitters has something most marketplaces spend years trying to build: a community that genuinely advocates for it," said Drew Wrangles. "The opportunity here is to take that foundation and build the systems and product decisions that let it scale across all the markets the business operates in. I'm looking forward to working with the team on that."
Wrangles' appointment follows a series of senior leadership additions to TrustedHousesitters' board and executive team over recent years, including its Chair, Chief Product Officer and Chief Marketing Officer, as the company builds out the leadership required for its next stage of international growth.
About TrustedHousesitters
TrustedHousesitters is a global travel and pet community, connecting hosts with sitters in more than 180 countries. Founded in Brighton in 2010, the TrustedHousesitters community has grown to more than 280,000 people, with a sit taking place every two minutes around the world. It’s a community built on trust, not transactions: hosts open up their homes and, in return, sitters care for their pets and home as if they were their own. It enables people to travel knowing their pets and home are cared for, while giving sitters the opportunity to travel with purpose.
