New Campaign Reframes Pet Sitting as a Meaningful Match

NEW YORK, May 27, 2026 — TrustedHousesitters, the world's most loved home and pet sitting community with over 280,000 members across 180 countries, today launches Love at First Sit, a six week integrated brand campaign that reframes pet sitting as a meaningful match, rather than a transaction.

The campaign comes at a time when 66% of US households have a pet, and 67% of pet parents say worrying about their animals is one of the biggest barriers to travel. While the pet care industry has long responded to that anxiety with the same two levers, convenience and price, TrustedHousesitters is doing something different.

"Travel has become frictionless. One click and you're booked. But for pet parents, that convenience breaks down the moment you think about what you're leaving behind. The creative borrows deliberately from the language of romance. Across three hero video spots, individuals speak directly to camera in a vulnerable, confessional style, heavy on romantic tropes. A young woman gushes about how energetic her older companion is in the morning. Another describes an unforgettable first encounter that changed her life. The reveal: the fluffy companion behind it all. It's the kind of misdirect that makes you want to watch it twice.

The campaign is designed to shift brand perception, from functional utility to emotional peace of mind. It targets both sides of the platform simultaneously. For pet parents, it transforms a transactional service into genuine assurance. For sitters, it celebrates the freedom to roam, framing every sit as a character-filled story waiting to happen.

With 98% of sits on the platform receiving a five-star review and 97% of members saying TrustedHousesitters has changed their lives, the idea of a perfect match isn't just a campaign hook, it's what the community delivers every day.
