Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully.
When we talk about TrustedHousesitters “we”, ‘’our’’ or ‘’us’’ in these Terms and Conditions, we are referring to TrustedHousesitters Ltd., a company incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 07227301, whose registered office is at 20-22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU.
When we talk about the “Promoter” in these Terms and Conditions, we are referring to us and any third party platform that is promoting this competition.
1. OVERVIEW OF HOW TRUSTEDHOUSESITTERS NATIONAL SELFIE DAY COMPETITION WORKS
1. (Promotion Period) This promotion opens at 00:01 GMT on 21st June 2021 and ends on 23:59 GMT on 27th June 2021.
1.2. This promotion is only open to those who are aged over 21. To be completely fair, this promotion is not open to anyone professionally connected to us and any member of their respective immediate families and they will not be able to enter.
1.3. These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of this competition in the English Courts. You must not enter this competition if it does not comply with national law of the Country you reside in.
1.4. If you would like to know who won, you can send an email to support@trustedhousesitters.com quoting ‘’TrustedHousesitters National Selfie Day Competition’’ in the subject line for 90 days after the close of the Promotion Period.
2. TO ENTER:
2.1. To enter, upload a selfie of your pet or a pet from a TrustedHousesitters house sit to Instagram, mentioning @TrustedHousesitters in your caption and using the hashtag #TrustedSelfie. This can be a photograph of you with a pet, or a photograph taken from an angle to look like the pet has taken it themselves.
2.2. You may submit as many different photographs as you like, which will only be accepted through an Instagram post as instructed on the competition rules, or via a given submission form if the participant does not have an Instagram account. Each new photograph will need to be submitted individually and will count as one entry.
2.3 Your entry photograph must be an original work and must not infringe another person's rights, including copyright or other intellectual property rights, and by submitting it, you promise to us that this is the case.
3. WINNER SELECTION:
3.1. The winning photograph will be selected by a judge who has not taken part in setting up this Prize Competition. The judge will pick the winner based on their assessment of the entry photograph of each eligible entry and how it demonstrates creativity, originality and the theme of the competition.
4. CONTACTING THE WINNER:
4.1. We will contact the winner via Instagram Direct Message within 7 working days after judging. If you’re our lucky winner, you must respond to the message within 7 working days of the message being sent. If the winner does not acknowledge the Direct Message within those 7 working days and confirm that they accept the prize, they will cease to be eligible for the prize and an alternative winner will be selected.
5. THE PRIZE:
5.1. One winner will receive:
5.1.1. An original pet portrait based on their submitted pet selfie;
5.2. We will send you the prize to any winner at our earliest convenience. We will endeavour to send a prize within 30 days of a winner being confirmed in accordance of sections 3 and 4.
5.3. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for a cash alternative. The prize is non-assignable and relates only to a membership of TrustedHousesitters and cannot be transferred to another organisation. Should we cease trading, the membership will no longer be available.
6. PERSONAL DATA:
6.1. We care a lot about the security of your personal data. All personal data submitted in connection with this promotion will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and will be used to administer and manage this promotion and the prizes (where applicable).

7. MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS:
7.1. The prize is conditional upon the winner agreeing to take part in reasonable publicity by the Promoter, including by agreeing to allow the Promoter to use the winner’s name, city and photograph in the Promoter's marketing materials.
8. OUR RIGHTS:
8.1. The Promoter reserves the right at any time, in its absolute discretion, to:
8.1.1. verify the eligibility of any participant (including their age and place of residence);
8.1.2. disqualify any participant found to be:
8.1.2.1. abusing and/or tampering with the operation of the promotion;
8.1.2.2. entering using fraudulent means;
8.1.2.3. do not give correct contact details;
8.1.2.4. making an entry on someone else's behalf;
8.1.2.5. posting an entry or a comment to the Promoter's social media or online platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram and TrustPilot) that is, in the Promoter's opinion, inappropriate, offensive or can be deemed upsetting to other participants, fans of the Promoter or directly aimed at the Promoter, and/or infringing any applicable law;
8.1.2.6. who the Promoter believes to have acted in breach of these terms and conditions;
8.1.3. remove any participant comment that is in violation of 8.1.2.5.;
8.1.4. cancel, modify or suspend the promotion at any time.
9. LIMITED LIABILITY:
9.1. This promotion is not in any way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any third parties or social media platforms. Participants acknowledge that any other online platforms used to promote this competition shall not have any liability to them in connection with this promotion.
9.2. We do not accept liability for any damages, losses and/or expenses incurred by any participant in connection with this promotion, unless we are in provable breach of these terms and conditions.
9.3. We accept no responsibility for any costs associated with any participant’s participation in the promotion or for any items that are not expressly included with their TrustedHousesitters membership (including, without limitation, travel to and from a house sit).
9.4. We are responsible for any loss or damage caused by us that is foreseeable as a result of us breaching these Terms and Conditions or failing to use reasonable skill and care, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it was an obvious consequence of our breach or if it was contemplated by you and us at the time these Terms and Conditions were entered into.
10. LAW AND WHERE TO BRING PROCEEDING:
10.1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the Services in the English Courts.
10.2. If you live in Scotland you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the Services in either the Scottish courts or the English courts.
10.3. If you live in Northern Ireland you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the Services in either the Northern Irish courts or the English courts.
