Heidi and I were volunteers at the same local cat rescue. For three years, she had a bi-weekly cleaning shift where she was responsible for feeding, cleaning up after, medicating, and socializing the cats in the rescue’ s care. This often involves interacting with cats with varied personalities and temperaments. There’s a need for kindness, compassion, and empathy for the animals, as well as attention to detail, and responsibility (not just for the important tidiness aspects of the position, but for the lives of the cats. Attention to detail helps us spot illness sooner, when a cat is stressed in their environment, among other things.) Heidi was responsible, reliable, detail oriented, and caring towards the cats, and was friendly and worked well with the other volunteers. She was a trusted and dependable volunteer.
