I’ve been around dogs my entire life and feel most at home in a space shared with animals. I grew up with a beloved family dog who developed medical issues as she aged, which taught me early on how to be gentle, attentive, and responsive to…

Joan arrived on time and with lots of time to talk to us before we left for our flight. She has a relaxed personality that made me feel immediately at ease…

Joan is a clear communicator and lovely houseguest. My 2 little dogs never noticed I was gone, which is a five-star review!

Joan looked after Julie’s pets & home
I've known Joan for almost 20 years. I'm godmother to her kids (high school seniors), we worked together on a political blog, and she's regularly taken care of my dogs. She's the perfect choice for someone to stay at your home. She was a stay-at-home parent for many years and then went back to school to get her teaching degree. Her background is in special education but she's also been an editor, a writer, and community volunteer. She just returned from doing some teaching overseas and due to the worsening political environment, decided to return to the north america. I think she will absolutely love taking care of someone's home and pets, and even plants. I have personally observed her care for many dogs including my own two, of blessed memory.
