Charles & Suzan looked after Liz’s pets & home
I have known all the family pets that Susan and Chas have had over the years. There have been various lovely cats, usually joining the family in pairs as company for each other. Their final kitten, brought home from a farm visit, was the last in the litter and came home with them on her own. They needn’t have worried though, he was a little toughie who took over and even kept their large rescue dog, Joss, on her paws! Joss was rescued after a very traumatic start, having been found dumped by the motorway as a puppy. There followed 18 months in the rescue centre when no one wanted to adopt her. Until Susan, Chas and the boys arrived and it was love at first sight. Joss settled in beautifully, adoring life with three lively boys, but she never overcame her fear of men in high-vis jackets! Before Joss there was Fritz. He was a very badly behaved rescue dog who liked to pee in people’s wellies! However he settled down once he realised that there was lots of love in his life. We knew him as the ‘incredible stretching dog’ because he didn’t like to sit in his basket when asked to, so one inch, one paw at a time he would stealthily stretch out of his bed until he was cuddled up wherever he wanted to be. No one minded! I know that Chas and Susan will show warmth and affection for any animals in their care.

Why we want to house sit
