Larry & Patti McLain are our first choice in house/pet sitters. I knew them both when they lived on St. John and was delighted when they returned for visits. It was during one of those visits when the subject of house sitting for us came up. At the time we had 2 cats which are regarded as out children. Since then they have take care our place numerous times including at least one occasion when we were looking after my sister's dog, Peaches, as well. We always felt confident that the house and animals would be well cared for. The cats certainly adopted them as surrogate parents in our absence and the dog although getting old was just fine with it. Additionally they both are handy and adaptable. Larry has an excellent knowledge about maintaining property which is needed here. Our house is old and needs someone who can deal with issues if they arise. He would be able to fix it himself or know when and who to call if needed. When we returned the house and animals were in fine shape if not better that when we left. It is without hesitation that I wholly recommend them and would welcome talking to anyone considering them. Rob & Mares
