Reference for Gerald Burns - in particular Joy Shepherd I have been asked by Joy to provide a personal reference for her, in her (and Gerald's) wish to become "house sitters". I have known Joy for over 20 years; we were neighbours and friends for approximately 15 years, initially as neighbours and friends. We continued our friendship after we ceased to be neighbours. I regard myself as very fortunate to have a friendship with such a lovely lady. Joy is, and always has been, a great home maker. She takes great pride in her home and garden. Joy is extremely reliable and honest. Throughout the years Joy has been the owner of a number of cats, all of whom I have been very envious of! I have absolutely no reservations in recommending Joy for the role of "house sitting" and "pet minding". In my opinion any person who has Joy as a house sitter is a very lucky person. He / she will be able to leave the responsibility and care of their most treasured possessions with no worries or apprehensions. I have known Gerald for approximately 18 months.
