I can't say enough good things about Janet. She is a person of integrity and someone you can trust and depend on completely. Perhaps because she has owned, rented, and managed properties in the United States and abroad, she understands very well the concerns of the absent owner who entrusts his or her home to a virtual stranger. And the truth is, Janet's warm and engaging manner is such that you will not feel like stranger for long. Janet, as the proud owner of 2 dogs, a cat, and 4 horses, clearly loves animals and knows how to care for them. My experience with Janet has been primarily in the country of Panama. Janet is bilingual, but more importantly in a 3rd world country, she is adventurous, resourceful, and unshakableperhaps stemming from her career as a nurse. She expects the unexpected and handles it with good humor and aplomb. Her travels and experiences in different settings and cultures make Janet an ideal house-sitter for pretty much anywhere you could expect to find a house. Friends of mine recently allowed Janet to stay in their home back in the states for a spell and were actually a little stunned and embarrassed to find that their home looked nicer than when they left it. In fact, it looked better than it had in years. I can unconditionally give Janet the highest reference possible.
