That’s right! We are excited to announce that we've just launched a brand-new partnership with the Helen Woodward Animal Center, cementing TrustedHousesitters’ status as an official Trusted Pawtner in 2022

The Helen Woodward Animal Center, established in 1972, is a nonprofit organization based in San Diego that provides educational and therapeutic programs to the community, as well as humane care and adoption for homeless animals in need. They are a strictly no-kill facility that receives no government funding, and relies heavily on tax-deductible contributions from private donors to continue their life-saving mission.

So, what does this mean for Team Trusted? Our partnership marks the start of a very special year, with a whole host of exciting fundraising initiatives and collaborations in store! Kicking off with Helen Woodward Animal Center’s annual Spring Fling Gala this June.

Now in its 34th year, the 2022 Spring Gala welcomed over 325 guests for an evening of entertainment, and a silent live auction to help raise much needed funds for the charity.

Mike Arms, Helen Woodward Animal Center President and CEO, said:

"We are always touched when we discover the hearts of the people at the top of some of the most respected businesses. We are incredibly grateful to connect with a company that not only mirrors our desire to make the world a better place for animals but also wants to donate to support our mission.”

Mathew Prior, CEO of TrustedHousesitters, echoed those words:

"There are millions of pets looking for their forever home, and it's thanks to great organisations like Helen Woodward that help make this possible. Like us, pets are at the very heart of what they do. We have a shared mission to help pets everywhere live their healthiest, happiest lives - and it's because of these shared values that I know this will be a great partnership, for many years to come.

This year marks Helen Woodwards' 50th Anniversary, and already there are many exciting fundraising events and initiatives in the diary, such as Remember Me Thursday. We can't wait to start working together and support them in their mission to raise awareness of the importance of pet adoption."

As well as the Spring Gala, TrustedHousesitters will be supporting Helen Woodward Animal Center through fundraising and event sponsorship throughout the year, including the annual Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon (surfing dogs? You don’t need to ask us twice!), PAWmicon 2022, HOPE Telethon and more, culminating in a very special event on September 22, 2022: Remember Me Thursday®.

Remember Me Thursday® aims to unite people and pet adoption organizations all around the world. Since it began in 2013, Remember Me Thursday® has made more than 1.5 billion impressions on social media and has become the voice for orphaned pets in need of forever homes.

We can’t wait to kick off our partnership and join the Helen Woodward Animal Center in their mission to raise awareness of the importance of pet adoption, and shine a light on all orphaned pets waiting in shelters and rescues everywhere… watch this space!
