“Laurie and Bobby are the best.”

At the end of 2019, we asked you all to look back and celebrate the special pets and people you met through TrustedHousesitters. 

After reading through so many wonderful stories (through both tears, laughter and deliberation) our judges finally chose the winners of The Trusted Awards 2019. However, the vast amount of stories did mean that some special mentions had to be shared. 

Here we have Laurie and Bobby, who were nominated by Lucy. The judges decided that they deserved a special nomination of which we titled Above and Beyond 2019.

Meet Laurie and Bobby…

"Years of house sitters and a challenging house/pet situation here qualifies me to say that Laurie (and her partner Bobby) are the best. Laurie is so clear-headed, and was attentive in making sure that my animals got totally spoiled for seven weeks with their raw food diets, daily hikes, and lots of love!" 

"They kept the house in perfect order and were a joy to have around on the days we overlapped. That would already be enough to qualify them but here's the kicker: when they were passing through this area in March, it coincided with my husband having a very serious car accident that put him in the ICU and also required having a pacemaker put in. I ended up needing to be with him for several weeks and Laurie and Bobby covered my home and pet scene without missing a beat. They provided the same amazing care with a sunny attitude, while giving emotional ballast to what could have been an untenable situation in the face of a life-death crisis. ‘Great sitters’ hardly does them justice."
